About Wedding
About the couple and their story (what they do, how did they meet, about the proposal, etc.)
Our meeting has been nothing sort of a Bollywood story with its turns and twists! Everything that would be perfect to make a total Bollywood movie.
When he first saw me while we were training together, He told his friends I will be the girl he will date! The biggest paradox however was that when we went on our first date and none of us liked each other and after a first date we stopped talking to each other because none of us thought there was any future to this! But then destiny has its own ways, and as we parted our ways after the training we realized that we miss each other and don’t want to be without each other! And that’s how all this happened! There was no formal proposal involved we just both knew that this it, and there is nothing else we would want.
About the wedding venue and how did you choose it.
On one of our trips to Jaipur I had visited JW MARRIOTT resort and spa and the property is just so beautiful that I said to myself that if I have to get married it has to be here. So that was decided long ago and Jaipur was convenient for both the families who had to travel from Punjab and Madhya Pradesh.
Although the venue was decided but we knew that planning the wedding was not going to be an easy task specially when both of us were so busy in our respective jobs we needed someone who could understand all our needs and help us plan the wedding to perfection . We met a lot of wedding planners but as soon as we meet team from desert pearl entertainment we knew that these were the people we could easily trust. So we met and were in constant touch on phone and decided on themes and all little things, Niyati and her team had so much patience and were always so helpful I can’t thank them enough.
A little overview of the various wedding functions (decor, themes, etc.) & any interesting anecdotes
SUFI NIGHT
THEME- SUFI/MORROCCAN
We wanted to start the functions with a Sufi night so to just get everyone prepared for the next few days. As this was the first night and everyone was travelling from far we wanted everyone to relax and enjoy the melodious tunes of famous Sufi tracks . The garden was all decorated in beautiful colours and lanterns to give it a sufi look and we had amazing sufi singers for making the evening more melodious. For Sufi night, I wanted to wear something that has a Mughal look to it I choose maroon shade in velvet and my clothes were designed by a friend and I have to say that trusting her was the best decision. My husband choose green colour.
HALDI
THEME-YELLOW & GREEN
The morning started with a fun filled Haldi Ceremony with love, laughter and lots of flowers at Sunderban Lawn. The decor went super adorable and settled in the sunny morning filled with bright yellows and oranges with greens into it. The couple wore shades of orange to compliment the decor. All the guests enjoyed the flower shower/ phoolon ki holi with the fun duo and enjoyed milk & flower shower.
MEHANDI
THEME- MODERN RAJASTHANI
The colorful afternoon began with our favorite colorful mehandi ceremony at HAWA MAHAL TERRACE. It was a sunny day and the colors came up so well in decor. Divyank-Hitika made a colorful entry with color bombs. Hawa Mahal Terrace was painted in rajsthani colors with a modern touch into it with Rajasthani dancers and music. Hitika- Divyank wanted to coordinate and also at the same time choose vibrant colours so to reflect the mehandi celebrations they chose Akansha Garija for their outfits.
SANGEET
THEME- MOULIN ROUGE
The glamorous evening took place at the Vikramaditya Ballroom, JW Marriott, Jaipur. The decor was planned with Moulin Rouge theme as Hitika wanted the cocktail night to be the best. Undoubtedly the couple had to compliment the theme and wanted to go an extra mile to look all glam, Hitika’s outfit was from suneet Verma and to match her outfit suneet Verma also designed Divyank’s tuxedo. Everything was painted in red and black, focusing on every little detail leaving no milestone un-turned.
ENGLISH CARNIVAL
THEME- BLUE POTTERY
English Carnival was based on shades of blue pottery theme with tints of yellows and greens with it. The carnival took place at the Sunderban Lawn, JW Marriott,Jaipur. It was a sunny day and everything was teamed up brightly. While our beautiful couple chose light shades of blue with white for complementing the theme.
GRAND WEDDING
THEME- BANARAS GHAT
The Bollywood couple always wanted a traditional royal wedding but also wanted something out of the box. So, as we did.. The team designed their dream day with a banaras ghat theme. They kept it royal with their attires and decor. Hitika says “The wedding night we wanted to go all traditional and I wanted to choose a different color as red and pink had seen too much of it so I picked up a green lehanga from shyamal bhumika and my husband’s outfit was from diwan shahib delhi” .
WEDDING RECEPTION
THEME- PEACH & WHITE
For the Wedding Reception, Hitika and Divyank kept it simple and elegant with peaches and whites. Reception took place at the Vikramaditya Ballroom after the grand wedding.
