Bansri, a Bridal Couturier & Fashion Stylist, and Aneesh, a businessman with ventures across East Africa, met in Dar-es-Salaam during work trips in May 2018. Introduced casually over dinner by a cousin, the connection between them was instant—what Bansri calls “love at first sight.” Just three weeks into dating, Aneesh planned a romantic proposal at a sea-view hotel, serenading her with Bruno Mars’ “Marry Me.” After she said yes, he surprised her with their families flown in to celebrate, a photoshoot, a private dinner, and an engagement party.
The couple tied the knot in February 2019 in Udaipur. Their celebrations began with a magical Sufi-themed Mehendi by the pool. Day two featured a cheerful yellow Haldi at Udai Chowk, followed by dance rehearsals and a glamorous sunset Sangeet, ending with a lively Cocktail night. On the wedding day, Aneesh arrived on an elephant while Bansri walked under a floral chadar. The varmala took place at the Jharokha, and the couple exchanged vows on the terrace of Radisson Blu with the Aravali hills as a breathtaking backdrop. The festivities concluded with a sophisticated white-and-green reception, designed to reflect Bansri’s love for elegance and detail, featuring terrarium lamps, draped whites, and romantic centerpieces.
