Couple’s Story

College sweethearts Kamakshi and Aakash met during their university days in the US, bonding over Bollywood, books, food, and family. Their friendship blossomed into love, and after six years of dating—including a long-distance relationship—they got married. Aakash proposed during a surprise day trip to their favourite beach, Half Moon Bay in San Francisco. Wanting a traditional yet intimate wedding in India, they chose JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa after their families visited venues on their behalf.

Wedding Highlights

Mehendi
The Mehendi was a vibrant, outdoor celebration filled with color, culture, and carefree fun. Inspired by Indian street charm, the decor featured pops of color, local street food stalls, a live Rajasthani folk band, and interactive elements like a bangle corner and kite flying. Kamakshi looked radiant in a bright yellow lehenga by Sushma Creations, while Aakash sported an orange kurta-jacket set by Rohit Bal, bringing a burst of sunshine to the celebration.

Sangeet
Bollywood glamour took center stage at the Sangeet, where guests entered on a red carpet into a venue lit with sparkling chandeliers and a celestial blue-themed setup that created a starry-night ambiance. The evening was filled with electrifying performances from friends and family. A surprise vocal duet by Kamakshi and her mother on “Ghar More Pardesiya” added emotional charm, while the couple’s own high-energy medley on “Lamberghini” and “Dilliwali Girlfriend” had everyone cheering. Dressed in coordinated blue ensembles—Kamakshi in Reeti Arneja and Aakash in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla—the couple lit up the stage with their chemistry.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony was held poolside and kicked off early in the morning with high energy and laughter. The groom’s friends added a playful twist by breaking into a dance on “Single Ladies,” tearing his kurta, and throwing him into the pool. In contrast, the bride’s look was soft and serene—Kamakshi wore a pastel blue and yellow lehenga by Chamee and Palak, while Aakash kept it simple in a beige kurta. The combination of fun and tradition made this event truly memorable.

Wedding
For Kamakshi, the wedding was a dream come true set against the stunning backdrop of the Hawa Mahal Terrace at JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa. The decor blended elegance and tradition with hues of maroon, peach, and white florals, while wooden swings added rustic charm to the secluded terrace venue. Kamakshi made an emotional bridal entrance under a floral canopy with her mother singing a traditional family song. Though the couple had joked about it raining on their big day, the unexpected downpour during the ceremony added a magical touch. Kamakshi wore a regal red lehenga by Vasansi Jaipur, and Aakash looked royal in his Rohit Bal sherwani.

Reception
The grand finale was a heartfelt reception styled in Western elegance—with formal seating, a central stage, and a touch of sparkle. Friends and family shared emotional speeches, and the highlight of the night was a surprise flash mob on “Macarena,” planned by their closest friends. The couple made a glamorous entrance—Kamakshi in a champagne lehenga by Frontier Raas and Aakash in a cobalt blue suit, looking every bit the perfect pair.

Reflecting on their wedding journey, the couple shared, “Niyati and Antriksh from Desert Pearl Entertainment were incredibly supportive in planning our wedding from the US. They handled the time difference seamlessly and brought our vision to life—each event looked more beautiful than we had imagined.”
